In the Diocese of Aberdeen, children are usually prepared for the Sacrament of Reconciliation when they are in P3, First Holy Communion in P4, and Confirmation in P7.
At St Sylvester’s School, preparation for these sacraments takes place during the school day. For children in Elgin & Lossiemouth who do not attend St Sylvester’s School, sacramental preparation classes are offered after school by the Dominican Sisters at Greyfriars Convent. Classes begin in September. Sacramental preparation classes are also offered at St Margaret’s in Forres.
